Instructional Excellence

TEACHER DEVELOPMENT

Building on our ground-breaking teacher residency program, BPE supports schools, districts, and educator pathway programs to recruit, prepare, and support diverse cohorts of high-quality educators.

Explore programs for pre-service teachers and early career educators. Access consulting and support for new and existing practice-based teacher preparation programs.

New Teacher Preparation

Enroll a cohort of educators in our nationally-recognized residency program, or develop local programming supporting educators to:

Earn a MA initial teaching license
Earn a masters degree in education (optional)
Pursue an add-on license in Moderate Special Needs and/or English as a Second Language

Early Career Support

Support teachers to succeed and stay in this vital and joyful profession. Programs and services include:

A summer institute to prepare for success in the critical first two weeks of school. Participants plan and get ready to implement core routines, establish norms & expectations, build relationships, and launch their first curriculum units.
Coaching, professional learning communities, and early career networks that provide ongoing support during the critical first years of teaching
Customized services, workshops, and other professional learning co-designed to meet needs

Consulting for Teacher Preparation Programs

Partner with experts in residency design, planning, implementation, and improvement. Areas of expertise include:

Recruitment and selection, mentorship, district and school partnerships, university partnerships, and course alignment
Teacher induction, teacher leadership and development

& CAREER PATHWAYS

Building on our track record as the educational management organization at Dearborn STEM Academy, BPE brings direct experience in building equitable and sustainable pathways to postsecondary success and purposeful careers.

Partner with us to design, refine, or scale early college and career pathways programs that connect students to meaningful, wealth-building futures.

Early College Design and Planning

Access workshops, planning meetings, ongoing coaching, and individualized technical assistance. Our work supports:

Schools seeking or recently awarded Early College designation
Schools redesigning or expanding existing programs
Schools looking to develop and provide formative experiences (e.g. middle school programs) to prepare students for early college

Innovation Pathways

Initiate, improve, or redesign innovation and career pathways programs. We provide support to:

Navigate the state's Innovation Pathway designation process, industry partnerships, program integration, and pathways implementation
Develop interdisciplinary, career-connected, and career and technical education curricula
Create work-based and career-connected learning experiences for students, from career exploration to internship opportunities
